Who We Are
Owen Finn – With over 20 years’ experience within the asbestos removal industry, Owen has managed a number of complex projects both in the UK, Overseas and Off-shore. Notable projects include the management of an overseas project in Athens over a 6-month period and working off – shore in Equatorial Guinea, where he was directly responsible for the project over a 5 year period. For this work Owen received a prestigious award. Upon completion of working overseas Owen spent much of his carrier undertaking asbestos abatement works for some major clients in the UK, playing a significant role in establishing excellent standards. As Managing Director of OPS, Owen has continued his successful career and has grown the company to become a leading market competitor. Owen continues to drive the company forward ensuring that we deliver a high quality and professional service in line with legislation and best practice.
Adam has over 10 years’ experience in the asbestos industry split between asbestos consultancy and removal. Adam has experience of delivering complex projects as a project manager/consultant/ contracts manger and for projects from the point of survey to the production of project specification, contractor assessment, site monitoring and ultimately assessment of the work area upon completion. Adam has developed excellent internal/external procedures and continues to play a key role in providing a high standard of work.
Health and Safety Manager
Peter Ingham (BSc Hons, Grad IOSH) – Graduated with a 1st Class Honours in Environmental Health, spent three years within asbestos consultancy followed by two years within Occupational Hygiene. Peter is an experienced asbestos consultant and Health and Safety Practitioner. Peter’s role at OPS is to ensure that the client is aware of their duty and that all the relevant safety legislation and procedures are adopted and adhered to. Peter is also responsible for internal audits, TNA, and development of internal procedures, license renewal and accreditations.
Sam Miller joined the management team as Junior Contracts Manager and prior to joining OPS had a background in asbestos consultancy. Sam has undertaken contracts manager training and assisted with project
co-ordination, logistics and the day to day running of the company.
Who We Work With
OPS have undertaken numerous asbestos removal projects at Schools, Colleges and Universities. Our portfolio consists of a wide range of work for local primary schools, academies and large Universities. In order to undertake works in occupied education facilities all work needs to be undertaken in a sensitive manner to ensure that the building meets the needs of the occupants, minimises impact and maintains all safety provisions. OPS will work to ensure these demands are met.
OPS have undertaken a number of large scale removal works for the National Health Service. Our project team has a wide range of professional experience working in the health sector, undertaking work within a wide range of building types each with a variety of uses. OPS have worked for and alongside a number of local councils in the North West. Over the past few years we have been involved in a number social hosing redevelopment projects for Bury Council.
